FAQs

Is my child entitled to Government Funding?
All children are entitled to Government funding from the term following their 3rd birthday. We also take children who qualify for two year old funding.
How many hours can my child be funded for?
Your child can be funded for up to 15 hours a week.
Do you have a lunch club?
Yes, on a Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 12-1pm your child is welcome to join us for lunch club, we recommend this for the older children so they get used to having lunch with their friends in preparation for school. You will need to provide them with a healthy packed lunch and drink - and no nuts please.
Do you have a uniform?
Yes! Our own logo Sweatshirts and T-shirts can be purchased through Maryland. We really recommend that children wear the uniform, not only will it prepare them for when they have to wear one for school but also saves their nice everyday clothes getting dirty.
What are your fees for children who are too young to be funded?
The current charge is £6.50 per hour. A morning session is 3 hours and an afternoon session is 2.5 hours.
Can I pay with childcare vouchers?
Yes, we welcome payment from any childcare voucher provider. Please use the enquiry form for further assistance.
Is Maryland registered for tax free childcare?
Yes.
What age does my child have to be to start at Maryland?
We take children from the age of 2 years 6 months and possibly slightly younger at our discretion.
Is there a waiting list?
Yes, please get in contact if you are interested in placing your child on the waiting list. We normally recommend you arrange a visit first to have look around. During the present Covid restrictions this is not possible but the Manager is always available for information.
How many sessions should my child do?
That really is up to you, but any member of staff would be happy to give you advice. At this present time we are restricting numbers and therefore sessions (Oct 2020).
